Hi, I'm Craig.

Craig O’Flaherty, founder and golf coach at Golf Made Simple

I founded Golf Made Simple to give beginners and improving golfers the kind of coaching I believe makes the biggest difference: clear, practical and built around the person in front of me.

I’m a WGTF Certified Golf Coach with more than 28 years’ playing experience and a low single-figure handicap. Along the way, I’ve learned from respected coaches and players, shaping an approach that strips away jargon and focuses on what helps you play with more confidence.

Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or trying to make your game more reliable, I’ll help you understand what matters, build something you can trust and enjoy the process.

Read my coaching philosophyHide my coaching philosophy

I believe every golfer already has the ability to improve. My role is to help unlock it by working with your natural ability, learning style and goals — not forcing you into a one-size-fits-all swing.

I’ve noticed that the best golfers in the world don’t hit every shot perfectly. They simply do the important things well, again and again. That same principle sits at the heart of my coaching.

I strip away unnecessary jargon and focus on the simple changes that make the biggest difference. You don’t need perfect golf. You need a game you understand, trust and can repeat.

The aim is consistency before perfection: improve the quality of strike, keep the ball in play, reduce costly mistakes and make good golf easier to repeat.

Better golf is often simple: keep the ball in play, give yourself good chances and avoid the big mistakes.

“As a complete beginner, Craig was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and his approach totally put any fears I had about getting into the game again, to rest. He gave me so much more confidence in my game, even after my first lesson.”

Luke-Rael PriorGoogle review

“As a complete beginner to golf, I was a little nervous about getting started, but Craig immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. His coaching is friendly, patient and easy to understand, with no pressure or complicated jargon.”

Angela OflahertyGoogle review

“Craig is extremely knowledgeable, but what really stood out was his calm and understanding approach. The lesson was very well structured, with clear goals set from the outset and a logical progression through each of the drills. I came away with a much clearer understanding of what we had worked on and what I could take forward into my own practice.”

A few things you might want to know.

Who do you coach?
Golf Made Simple works primarily with beginners and improving golfers who want clear, practical coaching and a game they can understand and repeat.
Where do lessons take place?
Coaching is available at selected golf and simulator facilities across West London and other suitable London locations, depending on availability.
What happens in my first lesson?
We begin by understanding your experience, goals and current game, then focus on the area most likely to make the biggest difference. For complete beginners, coaching is normally built progressively from simpler scoring skills towards the full swing.
Should I book one lesson or a coaching programme?
A single lesson is ideal if you have a specific area you want help with or want to experience the coaching approach first. Multi-session programmes provide a more structured pathway for longer-term improvement.
Do you use TrackMan?
Yes, where appropriate. Technology is used to make feedback clearer and more useful — not to overwhelm golfers with unnecessary numbers.
